Captivating more than
5 million people
in over 30 countries

This fantasy show was created and directed by a Russian clown Slava Polunin. In the 20 years since its premier in 1993, it has been awarded over 15 international theater awards in seven countries, including the Laurence Olivier Award, and has captivated 5 million people in over 30 countries around the world

There is not a single word of dialog in this performance.
It starts with a clown wearing a serious expression coming on stage with a rope around his neck.
He performs comical feats with other clowns and shows off the full range of human emotions with movement and expressions alone.

The performance is characterized by an integration between the stage and audience.
The dynamic feats, such as exchanges involving the audience, spider web-like threads that are draped over them, and paper, snow-like confetti that flutters down on them overwhelm and impress viewers.

The weather forecast for the Japan performance of Slava's SNOWSHOW is smoke, fog, occasional noise, high winds, and heavy snow.
It will start off with clear skies, but as more and more clowns come there will be more and more mischief in the second half of the show. That's how it is with Slava!
It's amazing to see what is possible with just human-powered expression!
This show is perfect for bringing your children during their summer vacation!
Bring the whole family!
Princess Tenko(Illusionist)
You will be fascinated by the cast and their superior technical skill. There are surreal scenes and some scenes that will bring you close to tears.
It will awaken a range of emotions in you.
At the end, you will be left with a warm feeling. That's the SNOWSHOW in a nutshell.
We hope to see you this summer in Japan!
Kazuhisa Ishii(Former major league player)
I think this is an appealing show that is really enjoyable. The ability of the performers to direct your attention to the stage is amazing.
They express a full range of emotions to the viewers using actions, colors, and sets more than can be done with words. Slava appeals to people of all ages, from children to adults.
Instead of listening to me talk about it, you should come see it for yourself!

Who is Slava?

A Cirque du Soleil
masterpiece
The world-class clown
who produced a scene
in Alegria

Slava Polunin was born in 1950 in the small, rural town of Novosil, Russia. He grew up longing to be a comedian like Chaplin or Keaton.

At 17, he moved to St. Petersburg for pantomime training, and in the '80s he performed various productions and performance pieces on the street.

Then, in 1993, he planned Slava's SNOWSHOW.
From 1994 to 1996, he participated in Cirque du Soleil. He gained an international reputation for his performance in a scene of Alegria.

He also presided over the artistic ventures of the Academy of Fools, ran a facility called Moulin Jaune on the outskirts of Paris, and holds an annual arts festival.

In 2013, he became the artistic director of the National Circus in St. Petersburg.
He is a master clown in name and reality, and is one of the top creative artists who represents Russia to the world.
